Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In San Diego, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Diego follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I ordered online and the amount they are charging for the tiny amount of food I got is ridiculous. The soda can is for size reference. This order was 20 dollars for just the rice and masala. The soda was not included. I ordered two and some naan. Total was over 50 dollars. The amount of food has definitely shrunk over the last few times I have been. You used to be able to share an entree with another person. Don't get me wrong, the food is good here and that's why I go. But increasing prices and shrinking the food is not how you keep customers. I dont mind paying more for the same portions.

FSA, all three 5.0 stars. Thu 18 Jun 2026 2:00 p.m. PT. EntreΓ© seabass in curry, with rice gets high marks. Pappadum is my go-to order and comes with two sauces, cilantro and mango. Garlic naan was more than acceptable, it was phenomenal or heavenly. The raita is worth writing home about. Please try the mixed pickle. A cup of dal was the perfect addition. Oh, their house Old Fashioned and Daou Cabernet matched with our meal. We found another home away from home (food wise).

Party of 2 went for lunch on a Saturday. It was tricky to find parking. The restaurant was empty, so we were seated immediately. We wanted to stick to vegetarian food, and tried the bhindi masala plus paneer karahi. The former came with a bowl of rice. We also ordered a basket of naan, and all of this was enough quantity for two people. Everything was very tasty and seemed not too oily. The decor of the place is really neat - feels cool and classic Indian.

Ate here for lunch. The service was great. We tried a few appetizers, onion pakora and fried paneer. Delicious. After the appetizers I forgot to take more photos because we were busy enjoying our food. Hubby had the Rogan Josh, nice spice and tender cuts of lamb. I tried the mango curry with chicken, medium spicy and it was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. The regular and garlic naan were plenty. Tried unsweet and sweet chai, which we loved. The portions were great. The vibe and decor of the restaurant were beautiful and fun.

Great service great food and great ambiance. Good size shrimp in the shrimp dish. The chicken was nice and tender, and the garlic naan bread was delicious. A very nice portion of rice to go with everything was a nice touch. They also have a separate group dining area that seats about 60 people. My only complaint is no longer do they do buffet style.
